Your talent might get a client in your chair, but it's the way you make them feel that keeps them coming back.
The human element isn't a "nice-to-have." It's one of the most powerful business strategies you'll ever build.
In this class, we're diving into the connection between you, your client, and your business and how those relationships create loyalty, trust, referrals, and long-term growth. Because behind every fully booked stylist is a client who feels seen, valued, and cared for.
SPEAKER: Nina Tulio | Oligo Professionnel
MEETING ROOM: Garden Ballroom

Kelly Westbrook of My Salon Suite draws on her experience educating for beauty schools and manufacturers to explore what it takes to become an industry educator. Learn how to identify what you can teach, develop your voice, find educational opportunities and balance a growing education career with your salon work.

How clients find and choose their stylist has changed completely, and most of the industry hasn't caught up yet. Posting on Instagram was never supposed to be the only way to grow, and in 2026 it isn't even the most effective one. This session shows you what's actually filling chairs right now, so you can grow your clientele without staying chained to social media.
With tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI, answers are becoming the front door clients use to find a stylist, and that front door rewards completely different work than the Instagram feed did.
Why the game is now deep up-front work, not daily posting. How to do the heavy SEO and foundation-building once, then keep it alive with light maintenance instead of being chained to a content calendar.
Why getting specific about who you serve makes you easier to find. The more clearly you define your ideal client and specialty, the more likely AI and search are to put you forward as the obvious answer.
Where to show up so the AI actually pulls your name. Getting mentioned in PR, Reddit threads, local directories, and the other places these tools quietly source their recommendations from.
How to build discovery that runs without you. A system that keeps sending you new clients even on the weeks you post nothing at all.
SPEAKER: Hunter Donia | @hairbyhunty

Take what you're already doing every day in the salon and actually get seen for it. Using REAL data, we look at your INSIGHTS to see what's landing, what's not, and why great photos and videos of your work are just as important as the hair itself.
And then we get into the fun stuff:
How to write a hook that stops the scroll
What to say in your captions so people actually do something
And where else you should be showing up besides Instagram to get your ideal clients and make more money.

Your technical skill creates the result, but the conversations around the service can determine whether a client trusts you, buys from you, rebooks, and comes back. In this interactive, practical session, Yureesh Hooker breaks down three conversations that directly affect a service provider’s business and revenue: the consultation, the recommendation, and the rebooking conversation. You’ll uncover the communication habits that quietly cost beauty professionals clients and revenue—and learn simple shifts you can use immediately to strengthen retention, rebooking, and the value of every client relationship.

KAYLA SCHOENER
Owner & Stylist
Wild Bloom Hair StudioKayla Schoener is the owner and stylist behind Wild Bloom Hair Studio in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. With nearly 20 years behind the chair, hair has always been a huge part of who she is—but opening Wild Bloom was the decision that completely changed the way she looked at her career.
After years of working in the industry, Kayla took a chance on herself and opened her own private salon suite, wanting to create a space that felt more personal, comfortable, and true to who she was as a stylist. It was exciting, but it definitely wasn’t without some scary moments, financial stress, and plenty of wondering, “What did I just do?”
Today, Kayla has built a busy, loyal clientele and a career that feels more like her than ever. She specializes in dimensional color, blonding, lived-in color, gray blending, and extensions, but what she loves most is making people feel good when they sit in her chair.
She’s still learning, growing, and figuring things out as she goes—and she’s a big believer that sometimes the best things happen when you’re willing to get a little uncomfortable and bet on yourself.

VICTOR SCOTTI
Founder
The Donna Jean Hair Restoration ClinicVictor Scotti, Jr. is the founder of The Donna Jean Hair Restoration Clinic in Arlington, Virginia, where he builds custom, texture-accurate cranial prostheses for patients navigating alopecia, chemotherapy, and scalp trauma. He is a Licensed Cosmetologist and Instructor, a Certified Cranial Prosthesis Engineer, a student of trichology through the International Association of Trichologists, and a TRICARE-authorized provider.
Victor's path to the chair began far from it. Raised on the South Side of Chicago, he studied Sociology and Urban Education at the University of Pennsylvania before spending more than a decade inside Google and Netflix leading HR, DEI, and student-development work. In 2023, a layoff opened an unplanned door; he followed his own hair journey into the beauty industry and opened his own suite. Months later, after his mother, Donna Jean, completed an eight-year battle with cancer, he pivoted the practice entirely in her honor — building the medically safe, culturally fluent restoration care she deserved, and naming the clinic for her.
Today, Victor's work sits at the intersection of craft, clinical care, and community — serving Black, Brown, and Queer patients who are too often left behind by the standard medical hair-loss supply chain. He was named a 2026 Face of Sola Studios and a Zoom Solopreneur 50 honoree, and is a member of the American Hair Loss Council. He speaks and teaches on the craft of medical hair restoration, the trichology every stylist can use, and what it takes to build a mission-driven specialty practice.
